To allow families to create schedules that fit their lives, Open House Nursery School allows families to purchase extra hours outside of the hours specified in individual contracts and are between our normal school day, 8am to 6pm. 

If, for example, your child has a three-day, 9am to 1pm contract, attending Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and you would like to drop off your child early or have them stay later one of those days, request extra hours by emailing extrahours@openhousekids.org. A Director will email you back to let you know if we can accommodate your request (we may have capacity issues during extended day, which is between 3pm and 6pm). The extra hours will be billed to you at the end of the month at $15 per hour.

If, however, you would like your child to stay on a different day than their usual schedule, it is unlikely that we can meet that request due to DOH staff:child ratios. If we do have capacity for an extra day, day rates will differ by classrooms and programs. Make your request through extrahours@openhousekids.org. We will make every effort to accommodate your family’s needs.

If your needs have changed since you contracted, and your child regularly needs to stay later or come earlier (e.g. you contracted for 9am to 1pm but now want your child to stay through rest or extended day), it might work better for you to have a new contract. Email extrahours@openhousekids.org to set up a time to discuss.
