Independent Schools
Tours, interviews and assessments will be available. Most independent schools are members of ISAAGNY and share a common application process. The Checklist for Parents will help keep you organized. You will be asked to create an account, naming Open House as your child’s current school and Tom Cucinotta, tom@openhousekids.org, as the contact person. This year the process may include a virtual School Readiness Test. During the November Parent-Teacher conferences the teachers will share what they know about your child’s school progress. Deadlines for applications vary. Some schools stop taking applications when the number matches their ability to process them. They will share Notification and Reply Dates.
